Natural Resources – Industrial Metals

Fund Portrait

The Fund aims to generate long-term capital growth by primarily investing in equities from companies offering exposure to the industrial metals market. Several factors highlight that we may enter a structural bull market for commodities. The energy transition is the age of critical metals, and this trend is underestimated. The electrification boom will result in a significant demand growth for materials like copper, nickel, lithium, aluminum or cobalt. The miners are in their best shape in history and generate high cash flows. The fund is actively managed and has a balanced portfolio of 25 companies based on a standardized process. ICG uses a quantitative multi-factor model that identifies sector champions. Focus is on cash flows, asset quality, valuation, balance sheet, dividends, behavioral finance and sustainability.
